Steven Peeters, 55, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 14, 2016. He was born October 22, 1960 in Queens, NY. He received his BS degree from Bryant Univ. and later his MBA in Finance from the Univ. of Connecticut.
His career started in CT with Hartford Financial Services. He later went to Zurich North America in Baltimore, MD until moving to Ponte Vedra in 2005 and working with Zurich Ins. Services as President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2010 he went to work for Main Street America Group becoming the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Earlier this year, AmCap Insurance brought him in as President.
Steve volunteered much of his time with youth sports programs including soccer, basketball and lacrosse.
Steve his survived by his loving wife, Kathy Peeters; children: Jamie Peeters of Tallahassee, Cari Peeters of Jacksonville and Rob Peeters of Ponte Vedra; father, Robert Peeters; mother and stepfather, Mary-Ann and J. Robert Flagg; brother, Douglas Peeters; and many other loving family members. He was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Peeters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, on Friday, October 21st in Christ Episcopal Church of Ponte Vedra.
