James Britton Sanders, Jr., 64, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2017 at his home in Atlantic Beach, Florida. He was born January 22, 1953, to Lucille and James Sanders, Sr. in Key Biscayne, Florida.
James, better known as “Jimmy”, attended Wolfson High school. He spent most of his career constructing and remodeling homes in our fine city. Jimmy influenced many with his love and passion for surfing, fishing, and playing tennis. He was often found spending time with friends and family on the shores of Neptune Beach, FL or traveling the world looking for the perfect wave.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Susan Sanders of Jacksonville, FL; son, Britton Sanders (Laura) of Jacksonville Beach, FL; daughter Jaime Sanders (Dan) of St. Augustine, FL; and grandchildren Caden, Jack, and Audrey.
For those who would like to celebrate the good times spent with Jimmy, a service and paddle out will be held on Oleander Street in Neptune Beach on March 24, 2018 at 2:00pm.
