Billie Ray Stevenson, 64, departed this life on January 10, 2017. He was born June 11, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. He retired to Jacksonville Beach in 2012.
Billie proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, and beautiful days on the beach. This was only when a Florida Gators football game was not being played!
Billie is survived by a spouse of 30 years, Sylvia; son, Bryan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Paula of Belvidere, Illinois, Clarissa of Kenton, Tennessee, Kelsi of Orlando, Florida, and Kendall of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Barbra of Newbern, Tennessee; brother, James of Pinckneyville, Illinois. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild (with 2 more on the way). Departing this life before him were his parents, William and Carol (Watkins) Stevenson; sister, Mildred "Micki"; brother, Terry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 0900, January 29, 2017 on the beach at 8th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
